Interdisciplinary Almanac "Innovations and Perspectives in Science and Technology", Volume 2 brings together interdisciplinary research addressing contemporary developments in science, technology, economics, management, law, and related fields. The volume focuses on the integration of fundamental and applied research, technological innovation, and the implementation of new technologies, with particular attention to their economic, managerial, social, and legal implications. Overview

The study examines sustainable development of Ukraine’s industrial complex as a process of structural and technological renewal under conditions of innovative transformation, reconstruction and external shocks.

Research objective. To develop the conceptual foundations of sustainable development for Ukraine’s industrial complex, clarify the economic content and structure of its sustainable-development potential, systematize the factors of its formation and propose a block-based method for assessment.

Methodology

The study combines conceptual-theoretical analysis, comparison and synthesis with a composite-indicator assessment framework.

Key Conclusions

1. Sustainable Industrial Development
Sustainable development is conceptualized as managed structural and technological renewal combining economic efficiency, technological complexity, environmental responsibility, social sustainability and resilience.
2. Sustainable-Development Potential
Potential is defined as the integrated capacity of the industrial system to mobilize, combine, renew and transform resources, opportunities and capabilities into long-term results.
3. Seven Interconnected Blocks
Production, innovation, investment, digital, environmental, human and social, and institutional blocks form the operational structure of the model.
4. Twenty-One Indicators
The assessment framework contains 21 partial indicators, analytical reference values, normalization procedures, block indices and additive aggregation.
5. Application Horizon
The framework provides for diagnostics for 2021–2025 and subsequent quantitative benchmarking and forecasting for 2026–2030.
